WE'RE TURNING 3!!! Celebrating our third Paper Birchday for the first time publicly, cause the first two years were a vortex which swallowed our brains (that, and we were foolish enough to open the coffee bar last December as well). What a ride, both wild and mild. Tens of thousands of books have come and gone, from fancy first editions to anarchist pamphlets to weird cat ephemera. We’ve memorized the names of our neighbourhood doggos, packed the room with launches, live jazz, literary and learning events. We’ve seen babies grow into toddlers with their own voices, personalities, and literary predilections. We’ve seen first dates and one particularly special last date before a longtime partner passed away. With your help and generosity we’ve given hundreds of books and thousands of coffees to our low income neighbours through our Good Neighbour Fund.
