Misfortune Tellers, Wayfinder, and Reasonable Creatures meet at Paper Birch Books to present an evening of understated sets, loosely inspired by the MTV Unplugged offerings of the 90s.
All tickets funds from this evening of performances will be donated to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. Tickets are pay-what-you-can, with the minimum set at $10.
MISFORTUNE TELLERS is a emo/punk/post-punk band from Edmonton, blending emotionally raw lyrics and twinkly guitar riffs. Energetic, irreverent, and packed with angst, Misfortune Tellers embrace the emotionality of their Emo and Alternative influences in their revival of early 2000s Pop-Punk and attack the stage with erratic, in-your-face live performances and witty self aware stage banter.
Hailing from areas just outside of Edmonton, WAYFINDER is a pop-punk band that seamlessly blends emo and post-hardcore influences. The group consists of Lizzy Turner on vocals, Greg Turner on guitar and vocals, Tyler Alexander on guitar, and Taylor Lemieux on drums. Their music combines heartfelt lyrics with a heavy sound, offering a unique twist on the genre.
REASONABLE CREATURES is a Midwest Emo band from Edmonton, featuring Alex Hirtle on bass, along with Aydin Minakur on guitar, Danny Astle on vocals, and Kegan Esser on drums.
Beverages and books will be available for purchase before and during the show.
Doors open at 6.30 | First set begins at 7.00
