Invisible Man (First Edition)

Ralph Ellison's only novel published during his lifetime, Invisible Man touches on the social, philosophical, and political experiences of African-Americans in the early 20th century, notable for its use of absurdism and Black existentialism. It won the the U.S. National Book Award for Fiction in 1953. The First Edition is visually striking, with an iconic dust jacket designed by avant-garde artist E. McKnight Kauffer.
