Diana Davidson lives and writes in Edmonton on Treaty 6 land and in the homeland of the Métis Nation. Her novel Pilgrimage was a finalist for the 2014 Alberta Readers’ Choice Award and her essay, “Ahead of the Ice” (Alberta Views), won the 2010 Jon Whyte Memorial Prize. A story, “Marilyn and the Bears,” was put forward for a Pushcart Prize by The Copperfield Review in 2021 and a personal essay, “Marilyn and the Mountains,” was published in the former Winnipeg Review in 2011. Davidson is often haunted by Marilyn.
